Basic Smoothie

This smoothie delivers just the right amount of protein and macronutrients to fuel your workout or restore your muscles after a workout.

Dietary Info

Protein: 30 grams, Carbs: 28 grams, Fat: 14 grams, Fiber: 4 grams

Ingredients

  • 6-10 oz. water or non-dairy milk (hemp, almond, oat etc)
  • ½-1 cup fresh or frozen organic berries (strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, blackberry, cherries, cranberries)
  • 1 cup green vegetables (spinach, kale, etc)
  • ½  banana OR ½  of an avocado OR ½ cup frozen diced zucchini
  • 1 handful fresh cilantro OR parsley OR mint
  • 1 serving protein powder (see recommendations) 
  • 1 tbsp. hemp hearts, ground flax seeds, and/or chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp. nut or seed butter
  • ¼ cup ice cubes (optional)

Add: Chia seeds, flax seeds, hemp hearts, spirulina, cocao nibs, cilantro, mint, MCT oil

 

TIPS/VARIATIONS:

  • Use “frozen” organic fruits in place of ice.
  • Use frozen zucchini or frozen riced cauliflower for a creamy texture and added fiber.

Method

  1. Blend all ingredients in a high-speed blender until smooth and creamy. Add more fluid as needed.
  2. Best served immediately but can be refrigerated.
